Video Game Physics Engine

March 29th, 2006

A quick link, via Digg, about a great FPS physics engine demo available to watch here. Amazingly amazing. That looks one hell of a game. Same people who made this were involved in Sony’s Playstation 3 graphics. Enjoy.

Away! Ahh!

March 29th, 2006

Those of you excited at the prospect of finally reading something interesting, intelligent and not classed as porn, who came from Dic’s Blog, and one of the few good posts, are out of luck I’m afraid. I will be away from the world wide web (commonly known as the ‘internet’, ‘net’ or ‘web’ to those who came from Dic’s Blog) for the first week of the Easter half-term. But don’t weep just yet, oh no. I believe last time I wrote a few really long posts about each day of my trip (on the old eop.org.uk blog) – I doubt I’ll do the same this time. So, this may be my last post or I may just provide a few links to keep you going in my absense.

In my absense, also, you may want to check out Digg.com for your daily news (technology orientated and also other issues) or just visit Kontraband.com for whatever you people do. Also, check out the blog roll on the right navigation bar below.

Oh, you may start weeping now.

Google’s April Fools

March 27th, 2006

For a few years now, Google has been playing April Fools jokes on internet users. In 2005 it was “Google Gulp“, in 2004 it was “Google Lunar Jobs” and in 2002 it was the “Google PigeonRank™ Technology“. What’s everyone’s thoughts on what it will be this year? Personally, I’m not sure but I’m sure it will be better than GMTV’s prank last year. Anyone care to take a guess?

Google CL2 [Calendar]

March 23rd, 2006

After looking at some new screenshots of Google’s calendar project, CL2, I found that I could test this latest feature. I’ve been playing with it for around an hour now and it’s one nicely designed piece of software. I suggest that you go on over to http://www.google.com/cl2 and try it out. All you need is a Google Account (such as Gmail etc.). Leave some comments on what you think. You can get some screenshots here.

Update: Google have revoked my access.
