Half-Term; Begin; End.

October 21st, 2005

Well, another holiday has begin, but it only signifies the start of the Examination Season. For some reason, the teachers have decided to give us physical homework instead of allowing us to study for our exams – mind you, no one really studies anyway; but which would you really prefer? :) .

Well, URY is getting really good. New voices have joined the team, as well as the old favourites such as, for example, the quite lovely Sarah Forster. Have a listen in and enjoy your holiday people!

Project Zebra is coming along nicely with the theme system now fully integrated and I only need to do some more coding on the site search and the administration panel. I should be on time for the 5th November release date, but it depends how much homework I get done by the middle of the week. E-mail at sunnyboy01235[at]gmail[dot]com if you would like to ask a question.

I’ve been looking around the internet lately, and I’ve compiled a list of things that you can do this weekend. Enjoy…

I would like to point out that I think I deserve some credit for bringing the word of Project Ice to you. Please, give me mention if you post about it as well. Thank you. Well, enjoy your weekend and remember, remember the fifth of november

Sin City DVD Review

October 16th, 2005

Now, after watching the 3 hours of Little Britian, my sides really do hurt. Although I’d seen much of them, watching them again and watching new episodes was brilliant and I can’t wait for the third series to air. Okay, now on to the main feature.

I was weary about ‘Sin City’ at first because I don’t really get into comic book movies but this adaptation was truly awesome. Even though it’s all done in a black and white feel, the use of specific colours really works and adds contract to scenes. It uses voiceovers and scene speech that interact with each other to great effect and it adds a personal touch to it. The actors in it were all great except for one which I noticed. The ‘Legally Blonde’ star Reese Witherspoon seemed to overact all her parts and she didn’t seem like the other characters – it seemed like something out of a crap Western. Anyway, the storyline was great, considering it was taken from a comic book, and the mix of computer graphics at certain points with reality made it get back in touch with it’s origins: the comic book. Although it’s classed as an (18) , it shouldn’t really in my opinion. Yes there’s blood, gore, sex, nudity and foul language but I think it should have been a (15) because it isn’t all that bad. Overall this film brings reality and the sub-normal world of a comic book to life with a mix of creative imagery, sound and mixes them together to create a wonderful piece of art with high-class actors that do the film justice.

Oh, I officially, really hate Internet Explorer. Goodday.

DVD Reviews

October 14th, 2005

I started film/DVD reviews in my old blog and have decided to continue this tradition. Tonight, I’m going to be reviewing ‘Sin City’ and also ‘Little Britain – Series 2′. I’ll let you know how it goes.

I got a near-fairly-easy weekend with only some technology coursework to be done. I’m going to also be building something over the weekend that involves balsa wood, aluminium foil and electricity. If you watched a certain TV programme on yesturday, you’ll know what I’m on about.

Have a great weekend.

Fun, Fun, Fun!

October 13th, 2005

Well, I think I’ve found two of the most addictive games on the internet; I’ll tell you about them later. Some blogs tend to comment on the latest news, but I don’t like to do that. I don’t want to repeat what you’ve already read on Slashdot, BBC News or any other news service. I want to add some originality to my posts, so that’s what I do.

Lately, I’ve been doing some ICT coursework and have really enjoyed planning my office network and actually doing the work – go figure. Anyway, here are the 2 games I mentioned earlier:
