(4) News Roundup

Comments RSS Feed Blogging, Life, News Roundup

Week Starting 9/08/2006

I’m going to try and start a new and regular feature here on Sunny Man’s Blog. Each week, I’ll post an image that has symbols, some quite obvious and some very subtle, about what has happened in the news and on the internet from the past week. I’m not going to tell you what they are, but if you can attach a peice of news to each symbol, then give yourself a pat on the back.Herbert - Official Mascot

Oh, and meet Herbert, Sunny Man’s Blog own mascot. Herbert is a strange creature. His expression will change each week depending on his mood. Is he sad? Happy? Hungry? Leave a comment if you can match each symbol to a news piece, good luck.

This is quite an original and interesting feature. I’m thinking North Korea nuclear test, Google-Youtube merger, GNOME release and Hoff at No. 3. Lost for the PHP, grid and chemistry. And music could be wrong.

Nice. It’d be quite interesting on a larger scale as a lot of different news pieces would be referenced for the same symbol.

The grid is meant to be a calendar, if that helps. The php is for programming in general and the chemistry is meant to represent science in general.

It’s in beta :P.

Google Code Search!

Probably something to do with Google Calendar and Google having a chemical element named after them.

Google Code Search was what I was thinking of! :D. Nearly there…
